Solar Denmark adds Haier R290 air-to-water range for installers

Denmark – Haier is partnering with Solar Denmark to bring its expanded R290 air-to-water heat pump portfolio to professional installers, adding products for compact residential installations and small commercial applications.

Solar’s core residential line-up comprises the Haier R290 Monobloc, Hydro Split and All-in-One systems from 6kW to 16kW, alongside a compact Mini model intended for smaller or space-constrained properties.

Solar is also offering Haier’s commercial R290 heat pump in 26kW, 30kW, 35kW and 40kW capacities. The manufacturer positions the units for applications including offices, hotels, restaurants, gyms and smaller commercial buildings.

Haier says the commercial models can achieve an A+++ energy rating at a 35°C application temperature and can be cascaded in groups of up to eight units, providing up to 320kW. Haier and Solar also state that parts of the R290 range can deliver leaving-water temperatures of up to 80°C without supplementary electric heating when outdoor temperatures are above -15°C.

Solar will support the Danish offer with product training, pre-sales assistance, technical support and after-sales service. Training is due to be available at Solar facilities from autumn 2026, and installers completing the programme can access a six-year warranty arrangement, subject to applicable terms.

The latest launch expands the companies’ Danish R290 proposition through Solar’s installer channel. Solar and Haier had previously announced a Danish distribution partnership covering air-to-air and air-to-water heat pumps in 2019.

Chris Johnson, Head of Heating Northern Europe at Haier HVAC Solutions, said: “We are pleased to announce our partnership between Solar and Haier, combining our strengths and expertise to deliver greater value and support to our customers. As part of this partnership, Solar will provide comprehensive support across training, presales, technical assistance and after sales service. This will help ensure our teams have the knowledge and expertise required to confidently recommend, install and support Haier Solutions throughout the customer journey.”

Anders Christensen, Head of the Climate and Energy product category at the Solar Group, added: “We have been looking for a strong and competitive alternative for professional installers in this highly competitive market. Therefore, we are very pleased to be able to offer Haier’s renowned high quality exclusively to this segment.”
