Baxi expands Megaflo range with first ASHP cylinder
UK – Baxi has launched the new Megaflo Essential cylinder range, including the brand’s first model developed specifically for air source heat pump systems.
The Megaflo Essential ASHP is intended for residential applications, and uses a high-surface-area coil, twin 3kW immersion heaters and a secondary return connection.
New Essential range
The ASHP model sits alongside new direct and indirect cylinders, with Baxi saying the Essential range was developed in response to installer demand for more choice across different budgets and applications.
The range uses a new internal expansion mechanism, removing the need for a separate expansion vessel and helping to reduce installation time and space while simplifying maintenance.
Indirect models use coil-in-coil heat exchangers designed to provide rapid heat recovery.
Alongside the Essential launch, Baxi has updated its Megaflo Eco direct and indirect cylinders with the same revised internal expansion system.
Rob Pearse, Residential Business Director at Baxi, said: “We set out to provide installers with a Megaflo that can cater to all budgets and installation requirements while maintaining and refining the renowned Megaflo quality and reliability. Whether engineers need a slimline cylinder for a smaller property, a solution for an air source heat pump or compatibility with solar PV, there’s a Megaflo cylinder designed for exactly that application.”
