Midea launches VitaBreeze split air conditioner for Europe
Germany – Midea has launched its VitaBreeze split air-conditioning system at IFA 2026 in Berlin, combining room mapping, occupant-responsive airflow and humidity control. The residential system is due to become available across Europe from early 2027.
Midea’s IFA material gives VitaBreeze an A+++ energy rating for cooling and A++ for heating, although the manufacturer has yet to publish capacity, refrigerant, SEER or SCOP figures for the European range.
Airflow mapped to the room
VitaBreeze uses Midea’s AirGrid Intelligence technology to map a room and allow users to control the direction of airflow through a smartphone.
Occupant detection can be used to direct airflow towards a person or avoid blowing directly at them, depending on the selected setting.
The system also uses an updated version of Midea’s Breezeless Pro technology. The manufacturer says the air outlet area has been increased by 30%, with air distributed through micro-perforations to reduce direct draughts.
Humidity and temperature control
A ClimaBalance function is designed to remove moisture while limiting the reduction in room temperature normally associated with dehumidification.
Midea has also incorporated its ECOMASTER 2.0 control platform, which uses predictive algorithms to adjust operation in response to current and anticipated indoor conditions.
VitaBreeze received an Air Temperature Humidity Set-Point Comfort Technology Gold Award at the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards held alongside IFA 2026.
European launch planned for 2027
VitaBreeze made its global debut at IFA in September and forms part of Midea’s expanding European residential air-conditioning portfolio.
Further technical details, including capacities, refrigerant and seasonal performance figures, are expected ahead of its European market launch in early 2027.
