HPA UK elects new governing body committee
UK – HPA UK has elected a new Governing Body Committee to oversee its strategy, work programme and budget allocation, following the merger of the UK’s three principal heat pump trade bodies at the start of 2026.
The committee brings together representatives from heat pump manufacturers, energy suppliers, system designers and installation businesses. It will report to HPA UK’s directors and provide oversight of the association’s strategic direction, management principles and delivery priorities.
New governance structure
HPA UK was formed through the merger of the Heat Pump Association, Ground Source Heat Pump Association and Heat Pump Federation, creating a single trade body representing organisations across the heat pump supply chain.
The Governing Body Committee forms part of the new organisation’s governance structure and is intended to provide sector-wide representation, effective checks and balances, and oversight of the association’s workplan.
Three places on the committee are available for co-opted members, while one position is reserved for an elected installer representative. One co-opted position remains available.
At the start of 2026, we set out our ambition to be a strong, unified voice for the heat pump sector and today’s announcement is yet another mark of progress

Representation across the supply chain

“I look forward to working alongside the elected industry experts to deliver our mission of accelerating heat pump deployment in the UK for homes, businesses and industrial processes.”
