Warmflow R290 heat pumps bring first central heating to Lincolnshire cottages
UK – Two renovated cottages in Lincolnshire have been fitted with air-source heat pumps as part of a refurbishment that has introduced central heating to the properties for the first time.
Each property at Manor Farm Cottages now has a Warmflow 9kW Zeno AS01-R290 air-source heat pump and a 200-litre Nero hot-water cylinder. Before the work, the cottages relied on an open fire in the front room for space heating and a small hot-water cylinder, with no central heating system installed.
Heating added during refurbishment
The heat pump installations formed part of a wider renovation that included replacement windows and doors, improved wall and roof insulation, and new plumbing and electrical systems.
Underfloor heating has been installed on the ground floor of each cottage, with radiators serving the upper floor. Two Zeno units were installed in total, with one heat pump and cylinder serving each property.
Installer returns to Warmflow
The installation was carried out by DM Suddaby Ltd, which had previously fitted Warmflow Zeno heat pumps on other projects.

The contractor cited the unit’s design and ease of installation among the reasons for specifying the system again. Warmflow GB Renewables Sales Manager Niel Rumbold also attended the site to assist with set-up.
DM Suddaby also highlighted Warmflow’s Warmlink remote-access system. The platform uses a built-in 4G SIM to allow installers to monitor and adjust heat pump settings remotely from a smartphone, tablet or computer.
Warmflow says the system can also be used to review operating information and fault codes remotely, potentially reducing the need for unnecessary site visits.
