Knipex adds limited edition diagonal cutter
UK – KNIPEX has launched a new limited edition version of its diagonal cutter aimed at professionals across the construction and building services sectors.
The We Forge Winners edition features comfort handles in white, blue, green and red colourways. Designed for electricians, installers, maintenance engineers and general tradespeople, the tool pairs visual appeal with the robust performance required on site.
The KNIPEX 70 02 160 S8 diagonal cutter is engineered to deliver clean, reliable cutting performance across a wide range of applications. The 160mm cutter incorporates extended induction-hardened precision cutting edges, enabling users to cut soft wire up to 4mm in diameter, medium-hard wire up to 3mm and hard wire up to 2mm.
The tool is manufactured from forged vanadium electric steel and undergoes a multi-stage oil-hardening process to enhance durability and longevity in demanding working environments. KNIPEX says that the cutting edges are additionally induction hardened to approximately 61 HRC, helping to maintain cutting performance over prolonged use.
Alongside cutting strength, the limited edition cutter has been designed with manoeuvrability and user comfort in mind. Its slim head shape allows easier access into confined or difficult-to-reach areas commonly encountered during electrical and mechanical installation work. Meanwhile, the three-component ergonomic comfort handles are intended to provide improved grip and reduced hand fatigue during repetitive tasks.
The model also incorporates two universal KNIPEXtend interfaces, allowing users to attach tethering points for working at height or add ColourCode clips for easier tool identification and organisation.
