Students explore Ideal career options

UK – Ideal Heating opened the doors of its Hull HQ to 26 students from Scarborough TEC, who were given a taste of the heat pump career opportunities available.

The students were given a guided tour of several key areas across the site. This included the main production hall, where they saw first-hand how Ideal’s production methods and testing processes ensure every boiler that leaves the factory meets the highest possible standards.

The group also visited the heat pump facilities and received an overview of the climate chambers, where testing takes place, demonstrating the facilities that are central to ongoing work in low carbon heating technologies.

Throughout the day, students were able to ask questions about apprenticeships at Ideal Heating, and were keen to learn about heat pump training opportunities. The manufacturer was able to point them in the direction of its Bridgehead site, near the Humber Bridge, home to its National Training and Technology Centre, where it is re-training installers to install, maintain and service heat pumps.
