NIBE sales up as European heat pump demand grows
Sweden – NIBE Climate Solutions increased second-quarter sales by 7.3% as European demand for residential hydronic heat pumps continued to improve and commercial HVAC markets remained strong in Europe and North America.
The division, part of Sweden’s NIBE Industrier, reported sales of SEK 7,326m for the three months to June 2026, compared with SEK 6,824m a year earlier.
NIBE said all European regions developed favourably in the quarter, with a clear recovery in central Europe. It reported continued positive demand for single-family heat pumps using hydronic heating systems, following growth in the European residential market reported in the first quarter.
Commercial demand was also a material support for the business. According to NIBE, the market for large heat pumps, chillers and ventilation equipment for commercial properties developed strongly in both Europe and North America during the period.
The North American residential picture was more mixed. NIBE said demand for heat pumps in US single-family homes declined after tax subsidies were removed, although the reduction was less severe than it had expected. Growth in its commercial property HVAC business more than offset the residential weakness in the US Climate Solutions operation, the company said.
