Heat Pump Mover team back at InstallerSHOW

UK – The team behind the Heat Pump Mover is heading back to InstallerSHOW later this month with new products designed to make life easier on site. Installers will have the chance to get hands-on with the new equipment in Hall 5, Stand A60 at the NEC Birmingham event (23-25 June).

Heat Pump Mover was created by installer and company founder Michael Wyeth after he suffered a back injury moving a heat pump on-site. Rather than leaving the industry, he designed a practical solution to one of the HVAC sector’s biggest hidden challenges: safely moving heavy, awkward, and unbalanced heat pumps across real-world installation environments.

The patented design is said to reduce lifting strain by more than 80%, allowing installers to move heat pumps safely over gravel, grass, mud, ramps and tight access routes with minimal physical effort. Weighing just 10kg, the compact tool fits easily into an installer’s van while handling loads up to 400kg.

Since launching at InstallerSHOW 2024, more than 4,500 units have been sold worldwide, with manufacturers including Vaillant, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Worcester Bosch and Samsung supporting or promoting the product. Training centres and industry bodies are now introducing the Heat Pump Mover into installer education programmes as awareness around manual handling and workplace injuries increases.
