Hayley Cattell appointed Vice President of Beijer Ref UK and Ireland

UK – Hayley Cattell is to become Vice President of wholesaler Beijer Ref UK and Ireland alongside her existing role as Managing Director.

Her expanded leadership role, effective from 1 January 2027, will also see her join Beijer Ref’s EMEA Leadership Team.

Cattell joined the business in 2010 as a Trainee Sales Engineer covering the North East of England and has progressed through a series of commercial and senior management positions.

John Billson moves into chairman role

The changes also mark a transition for John Billson, who has spent 50 years working in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, including 37 years with Beijer Ref (previously Dean & Wood). At the end of 2026, he will step back from day-to-day operational management while continuing to contribute to group strategy as Chairman of the Board for Beijer Ref UK and Ireland.

Focus on continuity and internal development

Jonas Steen, COO EMEA at Beijer Ref AB, said: “This transition reflects our commitment to consistency, stability and the development of internal talent. John has made invaluable contributions to Beijer Ref, both financially and culturally. His hard work, commitment and leadership have shaped both the business and the people around him, not least the strong team of leaders he has helped develop.”
