Grant UK to host homeowner heat pump workshops with Nesta
UK – Grant UK is opening its heat pump training facility in Swindon to homeowners through a series of free workshops run in partnership with Nesta’s Visit a Heat Pump initiative.
The sessions will give homeowners considering an air source heat pump the opportunity to see working systems, compare different models and speak directly with Grant UK’s renewables specialists about how the technology works and what is involved in an installation.
Working heat pumps on display
The one-hour workshops will take place at Grant UK’s Training Academy in Swindon, Wiltshire, with the first sessions scheduled for 19 October and 7 December 2026.
Visitors will be able to see Aerona 290 and Aerona³ air source heat pumps, ranging from smaller single-fan units to larger double-fan models.
Grant UK will also demonstrate an operating heat pump system, while its renewables specialists will discuss common heat pump misconceptions and key considerations for homeowners thinking about installing a system.
Giving homeowners the opportunity to see working heat pump systems in action is an excellent way to educate consumers and help them make an informed decision about whether this type of low-carbon heating system is right for them

Partnership with Nesta
Nesta is a research and innovation foundation whose work includes reducing carbon emissions from UK homes.
It piloted Visit a Heat Pump in 2022 before launching the service nationally in April 2024. The initiative connects people considering a heat pump with existing owners, allowing them to learn about the technology in real-world settings.
Further sessions planned
The October and December workshops are free to attend, with additional Visit a Grant Heat Pump sessions planned for early 2027.
Homeowners can book places through the Visit a Heat Pump website.
