Madison Air to buy ebm-papst for $5.4bn
USA – US-based air solutions specialist Madison Air is to acquire German fan and ventilation manufacturer ebm-papst in a deal valued at $5.4bn.
Madison Air expects to complete the purchase by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Operating in around 40 countries, ebm-papst supplies integrated electronically commutated fan and motor systems for air-moving applications, including HVAC/R equipment.
Madison Air said ebm-papst has installed more than 250 million fans via its Air Technology business. It forecasts that ebm-papst will generate sales of about $2.8bn in 2026.
